    Postion Summary:

    The Experienced Hire Recruiter is responsible for the full cycle recruiting process for their internal clients.  They work closely with their clients to identify staffing requirements and to ensure they are positioned to attract, source and recruit the best talent, both internal and external, to meet their needs.  The Experienced Hire Recruiter actively consults and partners with hiring managers on sourcing and recruitment strategies and to educate them on the recruitment process, compliance requirements and J|C expectations for the new hire experience during the recruitment cycle.  This position will be based out of our Bellaire or The Woodlands office.  


    • Be contact point between hiring managers across multiple Practices. Partner with clients to create recruiting strategies that meet the individual needs of each group.  Proactively share innovative recruiting solutions that add value, anticipate needs and streamline the process.
    • Develop an expert level of understanding of business’ recruiting needs by participating in client meetings, soliciting feedback from hiring managers and providing feedback on recruiting engagement and satisfaction.
    • Review job descriptions and requirements to ensure accuracy of information posted for sourcing. 
    • Source candidates to ensure a strong pipeline of candidates.
    • Participate in the selection process: assess candidate applications, screen interview, recommend finalists and manage the offer by partnering with the appropriate stake holders.
    • Identify key to create effective online search strings.
    • Conduct compensation conversations with both hiring managers and candidates to maximize the ability to close offers.
    • Provide candidates with frequent and timely communication throughout recruitment process.
    • Educate candidates about Jones|Carter and the advantages of working for the company – core values, career growth potential, benefits, and compensation philosophy. Partner with HR and marketing to refine the message.
    • Solicit feedback on candidates. Review results to refine recruiting strategies and processes on an ongoing basis.
    • Ensure compliance with Jones|Carter policies; educate hiring manages as required.
    • Work with our metrics to measure performance and results. Using those, provide counsel to client groups and HR on ongoing improvements in the recruitment process and the post-hire processes.
    • Represent Jones and Carter at recruitment events and conferences.


    • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of progressively more responsible recruiting experience in corporate environments or HR industry based certification/continuing education and a minimum or 5 years of progressively more responsible recruiting experience in corporate environments.
    • Experience with using and administering applicant tracking systems.
    • Competent in Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
    • Able to create and deliver multiple sourcing strategies – passive recruiting, internet, social media, etc. – for single and multiple positions.
    • Interviewing skills using a number of techniques.
    • Understanding of employment law and recruitment best practices.
    • Must be proficient with sourcing and being able to identify alternate sourcing avenues.
    • Customer service focus: proven customer satisfaction with the ability to influence, drive change and deliver results.
    • Able to identify and execute on work priorities and functional improvements with minimal supervision.
    • Able to work independently in a dynamic environment of change, challenge and deadlines.
    • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, clients and projects.
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
    • Influences and leads and builds personal networks through positive relationships.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a close attention to detail.
